Propagations

Welcome to my collection of smaller projects. While they have some growing left to do, I still poured myself (and my bright ideas) into these little guys and wanted to share them.

This is an editorial illustration designed as if for the cover of Time magazine. The article this piece is based on describes the journey of a team of scientists as they search for a long term solution to antibiotic resistance in the North Pole. I created a calm and enchanting illustration by using a limited color palette and soft basic shapes to evoke the heartfelt goal of the scientists and the alien atmosphere of the arctic.

This is a character illustration of a mushroom gnome in the forest. I used the Amanita Muscaria mushroom as inspiration for the clothing, and then named the character after this type of mushroom as well.

This is an infographic on how to roll a scarf into a donut shape for easy storage. I wanted this infographic to feel soft and soothing like a scarf, so I used muted colors and a simple, illustrated character. I kept the layout open to make the steps feel more inviting, but connected them all through the use of the abstract scarf graphic in the background.

This is a silly little animation of two frogs playing with each other in a river. The goal was to create a looping animation.

This is a short animated puppet show depicting a magical city built on clouds residing within the realm of a dragon. The background is minimal to show the expansive environment and the music adds a touch of whimsy and drama.
