Exterior Box

The exterior box is designed after the mailbox from the logo, and has a blank spot located on the front of the box to allow the farm to handwrite the customer’s name for a finishing personal touch.

Interior Box

The interior box, the package within the mailbox delivered by the bees, is made to feel homey and casual by mimicking the design of brown paper packages. Watching over the hive of each box is a queen bee.

Pop-Up Thank You Card

Little Neighbors wouldn’t exist without its community, so to show the farm’s appreciation for their neighbors, each package comes with a thank you note. The pop-up design is used to emphasize the impact customers’ purchases have on helping the bees.

Sticker Pouch & Stickers

Stickers are a fun way to showcase personal interests and values, so Little Neighbors created a set of their own to raise awareness to their cause. Stickers are included with each purchase, and kept safe within a bee-inspired package.

Honey Jar Label

Clover
Blueberry
Wildflower
Honey tastes different depending on the plants pollinated, so a simplified graphic of each plant is used to differentiate the flavors. The honey is stored in short mason jars and sealed with a label shaped like the hive from the logo and a wax stamp.

To create these social ads, I used a physical set up constructed out of colored paper held up by Knex toy pieces.

Problem
The population of bee colonies is continuously decreasing due to loss of habitat, use of pesticides, and climate change. Bees are the pollinators of 80% of all flowering plants, so they play an important role and should be cared for, not harmed.
Solution
This farm hopes to help save the bees by providing natural and ethically farmed honey products. Their mission is to help minimize the fear associated with bees and present bees as little neighbors instead of pests.

Clover Honey Jar
I wanted this photo to highlight the natural side of honey by using a cloud background and staging the honey as though the jar was taken on a picnic.

Product Photography
Little Neighbors’ brand revolves around treating bees as friendly members of a community, and the logo is designed to reflect this value through the use of neighborhood motifs. In combining imagery for both human and bee homes (a mailbox and a beehive) the two “neighbors” are united. The logotype is reminiscent of both honey and a signature on a handwritten letter.

The packaging for this brand is themed after items received in the mail, such as a package or letter. The exterior box is designed to look like a mailbox to further convey this concept.
